Oualidia. A good idea to tour!
La plage de Oualidia en été

The small town of Oualidia located 1 hour drive from El Jadida (75 kms) on the Atlantic coast deserves its nickname of "Blue Pearl of Morocco."
This small town, a former fishing village has the distinction of being both close to the powerful and almost telluric waves of the ocean and a quiet and tranquil lagoon with its blue waters are reminiscent of some Mediterranean shores. The sandy beach and protected by a rock bay and then extends into the lagoon can walk along for miles end is superb. Pretty little boats shaded style "Italian vaporetto" can also make you go around to the delight of tourists.
As soon as one moves away a little of the city moreover become pretty because the urban landscape has been renovated recently with happiness, you feel perfectly fine because the nature is omnipresent.
The specialty of the town of Oualidia are oysters, seafood and spider crabs that fishermen can make you enjoy under an umbrella on the beach.
If you prefer to enjoy a more comfortable setting, go to the hotel restaurant "the greedy spider" (the first restaurant right down to the beach) where you can enjoy the competitive price of € 18.50 (200 Dirhams) a succulent seafood platter containing 6 oysters, scampi, half spider crab, shrimp, and sea urchins. All in a nice setting with stunning views of the beach (go there a bit early because always busy especially on weekends, a victim of its success). Tell the boss you just Ahmed from Jacky El Jadida and it will make you a discount or offer additional dishes;-)
If you linger, level atmosphere in the evening I would recommend the restaurant bar "The Calypso", a little bit further, a bit more expensive but quality food and this is one of the few bars in the city (Run by French, Jacques and Cathy).
To illustrate this article, I have created for you a great photo slideshow Personal shores Oualidia taken recently.
